Haiti (Ayiti) | Dragon’s Tail Roller Coaster

Haiti (Ayiti) | Dragon’s Tail Roller Coaster

Bienvenue a Haiti

I returned to my parents homeland (Ayiti) and I did it via Royal Caribbean cruise line (Freedom of the Seas). With it being several years since I’ve been, I was so excited to have a chance to return to Haiti. During my trip, I had the opportunity to ride Dragon’s Tail Roller coaster in Labadee, Haiti.  While on the roller coaster I was able to enjoy the breathtaking view of the beautiful beach and mountain view of the island.slider

Dragon Tail was on the top of my list of excursion that I wanted to do while I was there. We purchased the all day pass which gave us unlimited rides, along with lockers. I made up my mind to not let anything stop me from an adventure opportunity. After all, it was my birthday vacation. Before the ride begins, the ride attendant shows an instructional video and gives a demo on how to operate the coaster safely to all the riders. This is vital considering I am the one operating the speed of the coaster.

Check out my video below to see a snippet of the amazing view and parts of my ride.

Perks: It felt great to speak creole with other Haitians, find out out what are the cool places to hang out and what its like to live in Haiti with the current conditions.

Travel Wishlist: To return, learn more about my culture, people and explore the island.

Price Ride: $40 and up

Locker Rental: $9

Let me know when you’re going. I would love to go. Especially comparing The culture to that of DR.

You control the speed?? Whew. Sounds like my kind of fun! lol I’ve never been to Haiti and am dying to go, but I’m not about that flight price YET. I’m glad you were able to connect to your parents’ homeland. That is the reason I want to get to Jamaica and Barbados asap.

Go to all of them- I understand about that flight price as well. A cruise might be a good way to go. We also went to Jamaica. check it out.

I love cruising, going on a cruise in November for my birthday. I’ve never been to Haiti before. The best part of the cruise is going to different islands and going on excursions.

YEY TO THE NOVEMBER BIRTHDAYS :). The excursions are great. Where are you going?

I have not been to Haiti. I smiled when you said you got to speak Creole with other Haitians. That had to be a beautiful feeling. I meet a few Haitian people years ago when I visited the DR. I’d love to visit Haiti one day.
