Kayaking in Brooklyn New York

Who said plus size girls are not active??? It’s interesting how we are more prone to accepting a male who is over weight and active than the thought of a curvy, voluptuous, plus size female hiking, running or dare I say kayaking.

Well I’ve always been the one who enjoy going against the grain of the norm of what people try to insist I belong in.

With that being said my motto for this year is to be in a state of mind of #ActivelyLIVING and #LivingACTIVELY. Just like anyone else, life has a way of giving me ups and downs. I’ve decided that I will ride the waves of each one to the best of my ability and accept the lessons to be learned. This year, I no longer want to sit around as I proclaimed how adventurous I was and active when in reality I would fill my schedule to the brim with work, work and more work but never make time for what I REALLY wanted to do. So … I wrote a list of things I wanted to do and I’ve been tackling them one by one …. 1. driving alone for long distances, CHECK….2. start my blog, CHECK…… 3. participate in more outdoor activities, CHECK…4. volunteer and serve more in communities check and ongoing.

This week I (a plus size women) will be going kayaking with family and friends and its FREE! (below are pictures from me kayaking)

Hence – living in the tri-state has its perks.

If you have never been kayaking, not afraid of water and would like to go. This is a great opportunity to go and get your feet wet. They allow you 20 mins per-session.
